Software Engineer
Delft Networks is a young, full-stack quantum networking company on a mission to connect the world in the quantum age. We are searching for a software engineer who will join a team that is building next-generation quantum networking systems.
In this role, the new team member will:
Contribute to the design and implementation of software stack components for quantum networks.
Perform general systems-level software engineering tasks.
Collaborate with experimentalists to validate software functionality in integrated setups.
Support team communication and promote a culture of open feedback.
Candidate profile
A successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing team at Delft Networks. They should be comfortable both working independently and collaboratively, primarily on-site at our location in Delft.
We welcome candidates with the following background:
A master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency in C++ (C++17+) and Python.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and GitLab.
Familiarity with multidisciplinary, cross-organizational environments.
Interest in quantum technology.
We value other expertise, such as:
Experience working in Agile or other project management frameworks.
Technical writing and documentation.
Exposure to hardware-software interfacing or embedded systems is a plus.
